The Ann Arbor Jewish Film Festival is back, bringing a diverse and compelling lineup of films to the big screen from April 21 to May 9. This year’s festival promises to be a rich tapestry of stories, exploring Jewish life, history, and identity through the power of film.
The Stronghold
Prepare to be gripped by The Stronghold, an intense siege drama based on actual events from the 1973 Yom Kippur War. Featuring Michael Aloni, the acclaimed star of Beauty Queen of Jerusalem, The Stronghold plunges viewers into the heart of the Sinai Desert, where a company of Israeli soldiers is trapped and facing annihilation. Aloni delivers a captivating performance as a young doctor and lieutenant who must confront a soul-shattering choice: a desperate last stand against overwhelming odds, or a perilous gamble that could compromise their values.
